LENS STUDIO
In late 2017, Snapchat unveiled Lens Studio — its free Augmented Reality (AR) creator and publisher program.
It was incredibly intuitive and easy to use (I was able to get an AR object up-and-running on my mobile device in 30 minutes, and I am pretty stupid), so I worked with their team to help communicate its power, potential, and seamless user experience.
I oversaw naming and branding of the product, the launch of the Lens Studio website and YouTube channel, and helped shape the UI / UX experience of the program itself.
The launch was explosive. After a month and a half, community-made Lenses were used over 1 billion times. To date, they’ve been used over 40 billion times, and have fostered a vibrant community of AR creators all over the world.
